On a quiet cul-de-sac in Eastham, nestled among the trees and close to the bike path, sits the beautiful Anchor in the Pines. Here is where you will relax around the fire pit while the kids catch fireflies and build tree forts. Your furry family member looks on as you compare the days beach treasure finds and plan tomorrows adventures while sharing family meals out on the huge wrap around deck.
Follow the trail through the pines to the bike path where you can leisurely pedal to the Hot Chocolate Sparrow for a coffee in the morning. Just a few minutes down the road is First Encounter Beach where every night is an event as the sun makes its way below the horizon. The Anchor in the Pines is where those memories will be made.
Walking inside, the bright living room greets you with plenty of space to lounge and watch your favorite streaming show on the tv over the fireplace. The eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking at home, but why bother when there are so many fantastic restaurants recommended in your digital guide? The bathroom has a double sink vanity and there is a shower/tub combo for the bubble bath enthusiasts.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor which are comprised of two queens, a full, and a twin bed. Downstairs you will find a huge additional play room that contains a bunk bed and a twin day bed as well. There is also a small bathroom with a shower just off the laundry room that is just right for those staying downstairs.
The large deck off the kitchen has plenty of seating options for al fresco dining. There is a beautiful area on the deck on the side of the house for warming under the sun while enjoying a cold and frosty drink. And the best part, the large fire pit area with seating and plenty of room for making s’mores with the family. We welcome your one furry family member as well!
We often hear people say how many years they have been vacationing on the Cape. And it is true, whether it is your first or your 60th, you will find that the Cape draws you in and you will always be craving that salt air in your hair once again. Your Anchor in the Pines is waiting for you.
We follow the practice of not providing linens in the property as this is a safer and more hygienic approach, but we do offer lower-than-market linen packages with free bed making services included. (Pillows are)
All of our linens are crisp, clean, and soft. Our Turkish towels are thick, and plush. Our duvets are soft and all-season. Everything is high quality – not cheap and threadbare. Everything is washed at the highest temperature setting with bleach and oxygen-based cleaners. We take pride in what we do and it shows.
Our guest reviews about our linens say it all! We offer three linen packages to which you can add additional linens (such as additional towel sets, etc) a la carte. Each package contains the appropriate bed sized sheet set, matching duvet and duvet cover, a Turkish towel set (bath towel, hand towel, and face cloth), beach towel, and a free bath mat and dish towel. Bed making services are free with each package ordered as well. (Specifics on packages are provided after booking)
Package A – (2 people/1 bed) – $75/week
Package B – (7 people/4 beds) – $250/week
Package C – (10 people/7 beds) – $425/week
Please note that all linen rentals are priced by the week regardless of length of stay. (It costs the same in laundry, labor, and materials whether you sleep in them one time, three, or six).
Of course, you still have the option of bringing your own linens as well, but why? No need to lug boxes of sheets, towels and blankets along when it can all be there, made up, and waiting for you for less than the cost of a lobster dinner!

I'll begin by saying this was such a relaxing and pleasant experience for us! Having run our own rental property, we can be picky. This property meets so many expectations and hopes. The owner has clearly spent time considering renters' needs, and what is provided — particularly in the bathroom — is amazing, leading to pampered feel. We cozied up with the soft blankets and "fireplace", and thoroughly enjoyed the calming decor. Though we were there in winter, we imagine that the large deck and the property's proximity to so much summer fun would be wonderful.
The Breeze is a WONDERFUL place that has everything you will need and want!! It is a beautiful waterfront property close to many great experiences!! The hosts make it seamless, comfortable, yet there if you need them! We are planning on making this a yearly getaway!! Thank you for all you do!!
The property of this rental is so charming! Walkable to Arnold's and a bike rental shop. Great patio to wake up and have coffee :) Perfect size for the three of us girls for a weekend getaway. Easy check in/out. Thank you!
Book this place now! The house is exactly as pictured and was very clean. The location was ideal for our family as the beach was a 5 minute stroll down at the end of the dead-end street. There was plenty of room for 8 people, especially with the dining table in the screened-in porch and the table and chairs outside on the patio. These outside spaces greatly expand the living space, and the hammock and badminton net were a bonus. Other points include wifi was strong, kitchen well outfitted and beds were comfortable. Tara made herself completely available, and check in and out was easy. We would book the same house again!
This Airbnb was wonderful! Tara provided little snacks and gifts for us, such as a gift bag with cookies and make-up remover wipes in the bathrooms. She was great at communication and let us know ahead of time about any issues that might arise. We also received a virtual packet beforehand with information on check-in, attractions, etc. that was very self explanatory and helpful. The home was spacious and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend Tara's Airbnb for your trip to the Cape!
We had a wonderful visit! All members of our party were working from home for one of the days of our stay, and the wifi was reliable and fast throughout. We had all of the kitchen appliances and amenities necessary for a pleasant visit. The outdoor deck was a particularly nice area to sit at and work, relax, and eat.
Tara's cottage is the perfect place for a cape cod getaway. It's about a 4 minute walk from a small but awesome quiet beach. Watching the sunset on the beach was probably my favorite part. The cottage itself is the perfect size for a smaller group. The backyard has a volleyball net, lots of seating areas, an outdoor shower, and even a hammock to lay on. The location is 10/10.. a 5 minute drive from Eastham's "hole in one" coffee & bakery! P-town is about 30 minutes from the cottage. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for my weekend getaway, Tara is awesome!
The house is cute and just as pictured. Clean, cozy, and the view idyllic. It's a close drive to the beach or into town for dinner or shopping. Or you can just sit on one of the many chairs in the back with a glass of wine and stare at the pond (with your dog) like I did! Tara was communicative and friendly, offering me a tour and letting me know where everything was. If you don't see something you need, don't worry, she can get it for you. Will def stay here again!
Adorable house only minutes away from Nauset Lighthouse and Cape Cod National Seashore. Tara's guide book was incredible! She listed everything you could possibly need. I also loved all the little extras, like backed homemade cookies and complimentary spa face masks.
Wow. Such a beautiful stay at the Lieutenant's Lodge. This island is something special. We loved feeling all the history in this house. It's a perfect getaway. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We hope to return for sure. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.
