Waterfront winter cottage in Eastham
The Velvet Crab is located directly on a freshwater pond that is centrally located and close to everything the Cape has to offer. Hike around the Salt Pond Visitor’s Center, bike the Cape Cod Rail Trail, walk the National Seashore ocean beaches and catch the blaze of colors at sunset on the bayside. Everything is so close and within reach of the Velvet Crab.
I respect my guests privacy but am close by and can be reached by text, email, or phone call anytime
Very central to everything. Close to Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike trail), Arnolds, Coast Guard and Nauset Light beach, Salt Pond Visitors Center, Eastham Windmill, and First Encounter beach.
Sunsets on the bay in the winter are much more intense than summer and are an occasion all in themselves. Visiting in the off season is the best time to witness these fantastic colorful landscapes up close and without the huge crowds. Peace and serenity await you at the Cape.
Just steps away from Minister’s Pond, the Velvet Crab offers a private and serene respite from the world. During the summer, the Velvet Crab shares beach space with another summer rental on the property but in the off season the Crab stands alone surrounded by beauty and privacy. A bright, open living space with a full kitchen and dining area overlook the pond through oversized windows. This two-bedroom cottage has a Queen bed overlooking the water in the first bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. The full kitchen is small but open and has everything you need with a dining table and seating for 4. A new streaming tv lets you watch all your favorite shows on channels that you subscribe to, as well as, free channels. The cozy fireplace under the tv adds ambiance but the cottage is fully heated so you stay nice and toasty as the winds blow outside. Watch the wildlife on the pond from the bay windows while staying warm and toasty on the couch.
The Velvet Crab is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and reconnect with your loved ones or even unplug and recharge your batteries solo. You can even bring your best dog (1) as long as he or she has a well-trained owner. 😊
