Cancellation Policy

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. We highly suggest traveler insurance be purchased to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances.

The Surf Shack Hideaway was the perfect home for our cape getaway . It was exactly as described on the website and the neighborhood was lovely and very peaceful . Listening to the various birds in the backyard every morning was such a treat & my golden doodle loved exploring the marshlands just a few minutes walk from the house . The modern kitchen was nice and well appointed with cookware, pots, pans and a variety of spices , We also loved the decor and the soothing colors in the living room with the sliding doors open letting the fresh breeze and light in . There were an abundance of books to read and games to play , fortunately we had excellent weather so we headed for the beautiful national seashores which are a short drive from the house . I have been coming to the Cape for the past fifty years and this location was absolutely wonderful !

What a wonderful experience we had spending 2 precious weeks on the Cape with the surf shack as our home base! Location is perfect to go to so many breathtaking beaches (we bought a beach sticker for the bay beaches in Eastham and used it daily)… The house was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great kitchen to cook in every night. Friendly neighbors and a lovely little inlet to walk down to, plus fort hill right next door for more great walks. Thank you for everything and making our stay truly memorable.

Simply a great time at the Surf Shack! It started with Tara from Heart of Cape Cod. She was very responsive to my inquiry before booking as well as questions I had after we arrived. She told me the only thing we would need to bring is sunscreen and that was the truth! This home has everything you need and more. It was clean, updated, and in a quiet location. The best part of all was being able to bring our dogs along with us. Thanks so much! Can’t wait to return!

Walking along the shoreline at Nauset Beach or hiking the nearby trail through the Red Maple Swamp and Fort Hill Loop, you are reminded of the many reasons the Cape in the off season is the place to restore the soul. The Northeast Atlantic offers surfers higher swells in the winter making it one of the best times to visit with a board in tow. The waves are big, powerful, and consistent. Experienced surfers decked out in layers of neoprene navigate the cold winter swells from Long Nook to Nauset. Come walk the beaches, kayak the cove, or bring your board and wetsuit and join in on the winter waves. We have a warm fireplace waiting for you at the Surf Shack Hideaway this winter.

Our beautiful hideaway on the cove has two bedrooms with a massive, comfortable king bed to snuggle in to, bunk beds with twins over a full or single, plus an additional private space perfect for your morning yoga, meditation, or workation zoom call. The open floor plan in this updated home has walls of windows and doors and is punctuated by skylights throughout. The large, gas fireplace brings ambiance and warmth to the space and the big, comfy sectional in front of the oversized smart tv is perfect for movie night during your stay. Eat meals in the open kitchen or at the dining table which seats eight. Enjoy a lobster boil with friends or just a nice meal on the go for two in the fully stocked kitchen. The master bedroom has a huge king bed for the perfect nights sleep. The second bedroom holds two bunk beds and a reading nook. A twin bed over a full bed and a twin bed over a twin bed with a trundle bed underneath. Plenty of space for everyone and even a futon in the office for overflow, if needed. The home has one level living making it the perfect spot for those with ambulatory issues as well. We welcome your furry family member as well (with additional fee).
